About CHC Ready

CHC Ready helps families get ready for the NHS Continuing Healthcare assessment.

Why it exists

A team assesses the person's needs, using the records. Then the NHS decides if it pays for their care. The records can be long, and they are spread across a care home, a GP and a hospital. In most cases, the whole process should take no more than 28 days from a positive checklist. That's not long to read them all.

CHC Ready does the reading. It files each point under the 12 areas the assessors score. It shows the page each point came from. It shows where the evidence is thin. You know your relative better than anyone in the room. The pack helps the paperwork say what you already know.

Independent

CHC Ready is an independent service. It is not part of the NHS. It isn't legal or clinical advice. It doesn't predict the decision. The NHS decides, through the ICB, the local NHS body.

Our only income is from families who buy a pack. No adverts, no selling information, no commission from solicitors or care homes.
